Transportation to Jaisalmer
There are four main means of transportation:

By Domestic Flights: There are direct flights to Jaisalmer. You can book through the following airlines:
▶Spice Jet: http://www.spicejet.com Truejet: http://www.truejet.com/ Note: If direct flights are not available, the nearest airport is at Jodhpur, 300 km from Jaisalmer. Many domestic airlines from major cities in India fly to Jodhpur. It takes around an hour to fly from Delhi to Jodhpur.

<If you use trains> It takes about 18 hours from Delhi, 12 hours from Jaipur, and 6 hours from Jodhpur to get to Jaisalmer. There are seats and sleepers on the train, but if the ride is long, we recommend a sleeper. Indian trains are complicated and it can be confusing to make reservations. This website provides easy-to-understand details about Indian trains, so please refer to it before making your own reservation. Indian trains are also often delayed or canceled due to accidents or weather. Some people take advantage of this situation and say things like, “The train has been canceled, so you can just take our bus,” but don’t easily believe any information other than the station’s “ENQUIRY,” and when you arrive at the destination, first check the information on the station’s “ENQUIRY.” The following sites seem to be recommended for reservations. *We cannot answer inquiries about how to use the reservation site.

*Hotel Tokyo Palace also provides a ticket reservation service for customers. The fee in this case is the ticket price plus a handling fee of 250 rupees per person. Please transfer the fee in advance to the designated account. When making a reservation, you will need the following information. 1. Your name as it appears on your passport 2. Your date of birth and age 3. Gender. Please send these by email.

<If you use a bus> There are buses to travel between major cities. Bus tickets cannot be reserved online, so you have to buy them on the spot, but except for busy times such as Indian New Year (Diwali), I think it’s fine to buy tickets after you arrive there. Many people take the bus from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer. The distance is 295 km, about 5 to 6 hours, and the ticket price is 450 rupees. Departure times are 06:00, 07:30, 08:30, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:30, 15:30, 16:45, 18:15, 19:45, 21:00, and 22:00 (as of June 2022).
*Hotel Tokyo Palace will arrange bus tickets from Jaisalmer. In that case, the price is 450 rupees per person plus the ticket price and handling fee. Please transfer the fee in advance to the specified account.

<If using the hotel shuttle> Hotel Tokyo Palace will provide shuttle service to the airport or station. The one-way fare for the shuttle (for up to 3-4 guests per car) is as follows:

▶Jaisalmer—Delhi:21,000 rupees/car
