Note : When direct flights are not available, The nearest airport is in Jodhpur, 300km to Jaisalmer. Many domestic airlines from Indian major cities drive into Jodhpur. It takes about 1 hour from Delhi to Jodhpur.

by train : To Jaisalmer, about 18 hours from Delhi, 12 hours from Jaipur, 6 hours from Jodhpur. Indian railway system is very complicated and vague. The main Indian railway berth ticket type is :
AC1 : 1st class with large 2 tier berth and air conditioner, there are originally few berth.
AC2 : 2nd class with casual 2 tier berth and air conditioner, many tourists and Indian high class people use this.
AC3 : 3rd class with casual 3 tier berth with air conditioner, recommend for an economizer.
SLEEPER : 3 tier berth without air conditioner, not recommend for traveler specially for ladies.

by bus : There are several bus route between Jaisalmer and the main cities. Internet booking is not available, you have to get the ticket after the arrival in the city (But normaly you can get a seat without ticket booking. HOTEL TOKYO PALACE can book the ticket only the bus depart from Jaisalmer). Many tourists use the bus from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer. The distance is about 295km, it takes about 5~6 hours, the fare is 450Rs. The departure time is : 06:00, 07:30, 08:30, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:30, 15:30, 16:45, 18:15, 19:45, 21:00, 22:00 (2022.06).
